A T-Shirt, that is being sold at the Kmart stores in the States, which shows a picture of a stick figure boy pushing a girl over with the words “Problem Solved” has caused a demonstration outside a store in Alexis Road in Toledo, Ohio. Over fifty demonstrators turned up with signs reading “Attention Shoppers: Kmart has an attitude problem. Recall violent merchandise” and “Attention! Domestic violence in Aisle 7.” The t-shirt is designed to be worn by young children and has already received complaints from many parents but the store so far has refused to remove the offending shirt. Many drivers passing by honked their support towards the demonstrators, many of which are parents of youngsters that have died through violence and members of the Toledo chapter of the National Organization for Women. Kmart claims that the T-Shirt is intended to be light hearted but many people are complaining that the T-Shirts show that domestic violence is acceptable.

US-based t-shirt manufacturer Hanesbrands has announced plans to offer $500 million (£252 million) of senior unsecured notes.

The notes will be sold to US and international institutional investors and are subject to market conditions, while proceeds from the offering will be used to repay a portion of Hanesbrands’ borrowings.

The group manufactures t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and underwear under consumer brands such as Hanes, Champion and Playtex.

In a separate statement, the firm said it intends to join forces with Olympic skiing champion Jonny Moseley under its brand Duofold to help prepare skiers for the winter season.

Launching its Master of the Mountain campaign, Duofold will visit popular ski destinations promoting its base layers and sweatshirts.

“As winter approaches, it is never too early to start thinking about all of the elements that can help make ski season the best that it can be,” said Jeanne Wilkinson, director of marketing at Duofold.

“Duofold is thrilled to partner with Olympic champion and skiing icon Jonny Moseley as he shares his unique insights and expertise with ski enthusiasts across the country,” she added.

ugg boots sale are wonderful Australian footwear that is making their presence felt in the worldwide fashion footwear arena.
Uggs boots are what are known by some as sheepskin boots. An Ugg boot is made from the skin of an Australian merino sheep most commonly. The wool part of the skin faces into the inside of the boot and so lies against the leg. This results in a warm soft feel to the boot that is found only from wearing Uggs boots.
The UGG Classic Cardy Boots has the soft pliable skin of the sheep facing out as it has the woollen part of the skin facing in. This results in a soft outer or exterior skin to the boot that means that Uggs can be a little prone to damage and wear when used in wet weather or inclement, dirty or muddy conditions. The boot is not the most hard wearing of footwear, and so wearers of Uggs boots learn quickly that they need to use some discretion when selecting which day to wear their Uggs outdoors.
However once the limitations of the boot are recognised and the owner of a pair of Uggs learns to use some discretion for just when they are worn, a pair of Uggs will last quite well.
Classic Uggs Mini Boots can be the most comfortable boot you will ever wear. The unique qualities of the sheepskin mean that they will keep your feet warm in even the coldest of weather, but that if you wear them in summer they will not overheat your foot. The sheepskin breathes extremely well and the air spaces formed next to your leg by the looseness of the wool means that your lower leg and foot will be comfortable in the boot even in warm weather.
Anybody, from the very young to the very old, can enjoy a pair. It is quite possible to buy baby UGG Classic Short Boots and they are ideal for the elderly who may suffer from poor circulation and cold feet. In both of these cases it may not matter so much about whether these wonderful sheepskin boots are fashionable or not, but in each case the wearer will love them.

Dazed Digital has announced a new contest to honor the Reiss capsule collection about to hit the market. The contest is a t-shirt competition calling for new designs based on personal interpretation of the brief “1971”. “1971” is the name of the new Reiss collection of denim clothing, but it must be made clear this is not about retro styling or the simple copying of past designs.
The competition focusing on new designs for t-shirts is asking entrants to design an interpretation of how to bring 1971 into the present and future. The 1971 Reiss line of clothing is modern, fashionable and chic denim. Some have also called it sexy denim. The reason “1971” was chosen as the name of the fashion line is because it is the first year of operation for Reiss. Reiss sees 1971 as a turning point in music and fashion and the first really stylish combination of both.

Reiss has been instrumental in turning denim into fashion and changing denim’s image as being only work clothing. Dazed Digital is partnering with Reiss to give new designers a chance to express their creativity with new interpretive graphics for tees. The top ten designs chosen by Dazed Digital will be submitted to the public for a vote. This will give fledgling designers a chance to show their artistic and creative abilities.

An instalment of an Oprah Winfrey chat show has inspired a charity to launch a new t-shirt to help people get in touch with their “inner deservedness”.

Hey U.G.L.Y., a charity devoted to improving teenagers’ self-esteem, has created a t-shirt themed around the phrase “I Deserve…” following a televised conversation between Oprah and guest Naomi Judd.

The chat show host spoke of struggling with being overweight and said that the moment people realise they “deserve … all the happiness and abundance,” things will improve.

This prompted the charity to combine with CB Teen Magazine to ask people across the US to complete the sentence “I deserve…”

Responses from the public, including “happiness”, “love” and “more than I can possibly imagine” have made it onto the t-shirt.

The proceeds from t-shirt sales will go towards Hey U.G.L.Y.’s aim to eradicate the “veritable endemic” of low self-esteem in teens.

Liverpool band The Most Terrifying Thing recently contributed its signature t-shirts in support of Oxfam.

As part of the month-long Oxfam music festival Oxjam, the band gave away CDs and red and black t-shirts, with proceeds from sales being donated to charity.

“It wasn’t really a promo thing – we just thought we’d try and raise a little bit more into the pot for the final totals,” singer Chris Price said.

The rock band, which had the t-shirts printed before embarking on their first big UK tour, also headlined at an Oxjam event at Sefton Park Palm House last month.

Thousands of music events took place across the UK in October aiming to support Oxfam’s work, with organisers claiming it was the country’s biggest music festival.

Events were organised by members of the public and included performances from local bands and solo acts.

The Most Terrifying Things’s debut album Victoriana was released this year to much acclaim.

Jacqueline Sarka, a third-grade teacher at Judd Elementary School, in North Brunswick, has started an Operation Undergarment campaign, after visiting her niece’s husband, an Army soldier stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

During her visit to Kansas in November, she visited the gift shop, where a woman informed her of the Operation, a clothing collection for injured and sick military personnel.

Unfortunately, injured and sick military personnel overseas are sometimes left with only a hospital gown or blanket to cover them, while being treated or transported to other medical facilities. Everyone knows of the hard work our soldiers have put into world peace, and it is appalling that their dignity must suffer in this way,

To help alleviate this problem, the wife of a Black Hawk pilot started Operation Undergarment, collecting new and unused T-Shirts, Sweaters, boxer shorts, socks, slippers, flip-flops, soft pajamas, soft pants and Sweatshirts, after her husband mentioned his displeasure to her with the lack of clothing available to fellow soldiers.

NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion, and his wife Chandra, have created a commemorative t-shirt with the help of designers at the Levi Strauss Company. The T-Shirts will be used to raise money for the Jimmie Johnson foundation that was founded to help children and their families as well as communities that are in need. The foundation is celebrating its first anniversary and will sell the shirts online and at racetracks.
Johnson said of those who have helped the foundation, “It has been amazing to watch my sponsors step to the plate to help with the foundation. These T-Shirts will be instrumental in spreading the word about the foundation. Our goal is to sell all of the T-shirts and raise over $100,000 for the foundation.” Levi Strauss donated 10,000 White T-Shirts for use by the foundation. Johnson will autograph the first ten T-Shirts that are sold. These shirts will hopefully fetch more than the fifteen dollars they will be sold for online.

“When it gets cooler, let’s go out for a day to have a trip.”

It got cool, then cold, then cool, and then hot again.

And the promise had gone with wind.

I had been used to waiting

I waited for mark after an exam

I waited for food when I went to the canteen

I waited for reply when I sent out a message

I waited for surprise when I fell in love with somebody…

I thought I had form a habit of waiting.
